In my blogs, I usually write about the specific assignment. At first I notice the struggle of trying to complete the post. Basic information was given with no elaboration. I believe that the nature of my post has changed. Although I am not completely comfortable with technology I have gained information that allows me to understand and perform functions with the different programs and software. The thing that surprises me is the many ways to introduce technology into the classroom. At the beginning of the class it would have been impossible for me to insert a video into any document. The threads that are worth revisiting are all of them. All of the post provided me with material that I needed to learn and understand how to utilize affective techniques for applying media in the classroom setting. Every step was a learning process that brought me closer to a greater understanding of educational technology.
Cynthia,
ReplyDeleteI noticed the same thing with my blogs, I am pretty much brief and to the point. Looking back at my blogs from the beginning of the semester I noticed that I was not really adding a lot of personal information to them, but with my more recent blogs I have been trying to add more of my prior knowledge to our class topics. I have to agree with you that all the threads are worth revisiting. Once this semester is over and I am in a more relaxed state of mind (summer break for my teenagers) I plan on looking back over all the technology we are learning and getting a deeper understanding of it all.
I also did the same, I basically wanted to just get the assignment done and to the point. But not that when I blog and we have certain ideas or concepts around a topic, I add more so that the person doesn't feel like I am "just there" for the grades and actually feel more as a learning tool. Other people can read our post and see how learning has changed and what we can do with many different technologies in the classroom. Good post and we are almost done! yay!
ReplyDeleteCynthia please don't feel bad. I did the same things with my blogs, just giving basic information. I guess none of it excited me so I would just say what I had to say and press on. Towards the end the things we started doing were more exciting and I could get into them. Not only that but I finally found my rhythm with this class.
ReplyDeleteIf I were going to grade just one blog post, which would you want me to grade? Why?
